New Haven Scholarship Fund: Student Spotlight

Our newest board member is no stranger to the New Haven Scholarship Fund. A recipient of a NHSF Award, Charles graduated from the Metropolitan Business Academy in 2015 and went on to pursue his education at SCSU where he majored in Geography with a concentration in GIS (Digital Mapping). There, he received the Departmental Service and Community Engagement Award for Environment, Geography & Marine Sciences Department for which he served as the Student Secretary. After graduation, Charles began his career, first with iMission Institute as a Digital Associate where he participated in creating and assisting in the development of digital campaigns for nonprofits and the training of nonprofits on multiple digital platforms. He has recently become affiliated with Civic Plus as a Business Development Specialist where he assists clients with managing and improving their use of data.
