Metropolitan is a full college preparatory program that offers students four academic paths of study. These pathways are supported by the 21st Century Competencies. Metropolitan is committed to offering students opportunities to apply its core values of Innovation, Integrity and Involvement through project-based learning using state of the art technology, student leadership positions, internships, and community service.

Poetic Justice! The Word, Citywide Youth Coalition, CT Students for a Dream, and Students for Educational Justice present Poetic Justice! On February 28th from 4-7pm, we are inviting all young people ages 13-24 to join us at Citywide's Black and Brown Power Center (928 Chapel Street), to create poems, raps, songs, and chants to move New Haven. This FREE event will have performances, an open mic, and food!
Artspace Summer Apprenticeship Program: Calling all New Haven Public High School students! Apply for the 20th Annual Summer Apprenticeship Program this summer. Program Dates are July 6 – 24, 2020. The program runs Mondays-Fridays, 1-4pm. All materials, snacks and $175 work stipends provided. 20 New Haven teens will work closely with lead artist Daniel Pizarro to learn how to create art with strong social messages centered around themes that inspired the Black Panther Party and the way they reclaimed narratives through self-publishing. Youth@Work: Students are able to pick up applications at the main office of 165 Church Street which are available now. The deadline for student applications is March 27, 2020 5:00 p.m.
SENIOR YEARBOOK SURVEY - The Yearbook Committee would like to invite seniors to submit a quote and fill out the senior survey by February 24, 2020. By clicking this link, you will also be able to provide biographical information and contribute to some polls we have created. Also, seniors can send 2 pictures to (This is like a 'then and now' type section. The 'then' can be a baby picture and the 'now' would be more recent). Also send pictures from clubs, programs, sports, candids, selfies, as well as pictures of seniors and teachers at school or on field trips. If seniors have hardcopies that need to be scanned, bring them to Dr. Chicoski.
