What's happening at Metro
In collaboration with Mayor Elicker, the New Haven Health Department, and the New Haven Public Schools, all New Haven Public Schools will be closed through the end of the school year. Go to the Distancing Learning page to access student assignments, resources and information regarding COVID-19. Students will continue their studies online. T3 grades cannot negatively impact Y1 grades, so please use this opportunity to continue submitting assignments.
Attention Seniors: The New Haven Promise has extended their deadline for community service hour completion to August 1. A list of places where you can get hours done includes at home/online/ remote options.
Youth@Work Student Applications: Due to the closure of city hall, students CANNOT drop applications off to their office. They will adjust their deadline date to accommodate for the last two weeks of the applications submission time frame. Once the office is reopened, a mass email along with notification on all social media outlets will go out to the public regarding their extension. Updates to the application deadline will be posted on the City’s website (www.newhavenct.gov) as well as on our Facebook page (New haven YSD). Make note the extension will only be for two weeks as the applications have been available since the first Monday in January of 2020. The Student job fair scheduled for April 15, 2020 has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled.
